He was born in Shelbyville , Kentucky August 23, 1954 to the late
Phillip Frankin and Sandra Katherine Chatmond Todd.
During his formative years, he was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in
Shelbyville . After relocateing to Cincinnati , he attended Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Phillip attended Shelbyville High School and Rangely Junior College in
Rangely, Colorado, where he received an Associates in Arts in Culinary Arts.
He played Basketball for both schools and was selected as a " Who's Who"
In basketball while in college .
An avid sports fan, he enjoyed both the Cincinnati Bengals and the
Cincinnati Reds.
Phillip's career as a chef started at the Beef N Boards Dinner Theater in Simpsonville .
With the onset of his illness , his chef's career ended while working for the
University Of Cincinnati .
Phillip took great pride in cooking .
His family was always eager to enjoy meals prepared by " Uncle Phip" as he was called by his nieces and nephews.
He loved children and had a strong connection to his family.
In addition to his parents , one sister, preceded him in death .
Survivors include two children, three sisters, one brother.
Funeral service at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Don Burly delivering the eulogy.
Burial : Calvary Cemetery .
