Marsha Diane Thomas Berg, 62, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, March 09, 2016, at the McLeod Hospice House.

Mrs. Berg was born in Wadesboro, NC, a daughter of the late David Watts Thomas and Barbara Allen Thomas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, graduated from Francis Marion, and had been a school teacher in the Darlington School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet Marie Thomas.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Lee Berg of Florence; brother, Randy Thomas of Florence; sisters, Sharon Thomas Haselden of Raleigh, NC, and Susan (Tommy) Skinner of Florence; nephews, Matthew Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Brent Andrews and John Haselden, Jr.; all of her school children; her beloved cat “Escuela”; special friend, Mary Hall Kellar; special granddaughter, Hallsy Kellar and special grandson, Ryder Cummings.

A memorial service was held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
