Flora Land Adams, 97, of Athens, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Life Care Center of Athens.
She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County.
A daughter of the late S.N. Land Sr. and Nora Bell Pangle Land, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Adams; stepchildren, Jonnie Harrill and Bobby Adams; four brothers, Arvil, Paul, Fender, and S.N. Land Jr.; and three sisters, Anna Marie Land, Pearl McKinney, and Anna Ruth Land.
She was a member of Liberty Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Ronnie Ables of Athens, two granddaughters and spouses, Michelle and Mike Steck, and Donna LeAnne and Chuck Pickel; special great-grandson, Chase Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Cochran Cemetery with Minister Pat Wilson officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Chuck Pickel, Chase Cole, Mike Steck, Justin Constant, Austin Constant, and Ronnie Ables. Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Griggs and Bill Constant.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
