Margaret Mary Dalton was the daughter of Cornelius Dalton and Bridget McCarthy. She was born in Manhattan in 1914. Her sister, Helen, was also born in Manhattan in 1916. The family moved to Pitscataway, New Jersey because of the flu epidemic in New York City and were on the 1920 census for Pitscataway. Later on, the family moved to Plainfield, New Jersey, where Margaret grew up. She married Francis Mulligan who was called Frank and had two daughters, Catherine and Linda. She later married George Lockwood. She returned to New Jersey and lived in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
