He was born Feb.5,1930 in Miller County to William J. and Velma Eunice Moneymaker Cochran. On Nov.28,1953, he was married in Hawkeye to Marie Evelyn Hedrick, who died Feb. 15, 1999.
Mr. Cochran was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Cochran and Rich Cochran both of Brumley, and Dallas and Pamela Cochran of Oak Grove; three brothers, Glen Cochran and Danny Cochran both of Iberia, and David Cochran of Brumley; two sisters, Eula Mae Cochran of Iberia and Alice Mitchell of Brumley; four grandchildren, Jill, Adam, Autumn, and Austin; and a great grandchild Harley.
He was proceded in death by his son James Allen Cochran.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
Funeral services will be held, at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Brian Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
