He was a former employee of Green Mechanical, a retired employee of T. J. Samson Community Hospital and past president of Youth Inc. at Fred Hale Ballpark.

He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church

James Burton and Bertha (Oliphant) Atwood.

Husband of:
Patty Petty Atwood. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2016.

Survivors:
Three sons: Terry Atwood (Tina), Tony Atwood (Diane) and Mickey Atwood (Leslie) all of Scottsville; one brother: Ora Atwood of Scottsville; two sisters: Patty Stovall Reneau and Barbara Roscoe (Gerald), all of Scottsville; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Predeceased by:
His parents; his wife; four brothers: Willard Atwood, Paul Atwood, Sr., James Earl Atwood and J. D. Atwood; and three sisters: Mildred Owens, Janice Petty and Lou Welch.

Joint funeral services for Billie and Patty held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Terry Atwood and Brother Mickey Atwood officiating.
