Mrs. Yvonne Helen Dunaway, 76, of Old Town, passed away Friday, March 12, 2016.

Mrs. Dunaway was born in Granton, Wisconsin. She was a nursing home Administrator in various nursing homes in Wisconsin and Florida, retiring from the Suncoast Manor Nursing Home in St. Petersburg. After retiring and relocating to Old Town, she became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cross City, singing in the choir and formerly serving as Church Secretary. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, day trips and picnics with her husband, bird watching, singing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 10 ½ years, Chuck Dunaway of Old Town; daughters, Kim (Chris) Pall and Kay Story, both of Santa Rosa Beach; stepson, Chris (Tammy) Dunaway of Mt. Plymouth; stepdaughter; Rhoda Dunaway of Ocoee; grandchildren, Stefani Pall, Lindsay Hedglin, Amanda Mojica, Linda Spencer, Jason Dunaway, Kristine Vogel, Nicholas Dunaway and Matthew Dunaway; 7 great-grandchildren; step-mother, Doris Braatz of Neillsville, Wisconsin; brother, Victor Braatz, Jr. of Egelsbach, Germany; foster brothers, Greg Mallory of Montana and Chris Mallory of Seattle, Washington; sister, Linda Holtz of Shawano Lake, Wisconsin and foster sister, Sarah Andrews of LasVegas, Nevada.

A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church of Cross City on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Cross City.
Arrangements were placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.
