A graduate of Louisville, KY's Male High School. He served in the US Army during World War II having received a Purple Heart. After graduation from the University of Louisville, Speed Scientific School with a degree in electrical engineering, he began his career in computer programming with IBM. He was a Vice-President with the old Commonwealth Life Insurance Company, where he was instrumental in setting up their first computer system. During the 1970s, he taught computer programming at the University of Louisville until his move to Houston Texas. In Houston, he worked for CSC Credit Services until his retirement. In 1997, he returned to Louisville.
Bob was an advocate for freedom, justice and equality for everyone and was a member of NGLTF since1972.
He is survived by a niece, Carol Harris; two nephews, Richard and Ron Voss; 10 great nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends
Visitation was at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Rd. A celebration of life service was held at a later date. Burial was private.
