Sam was born to Laura "Josie" Josephine Karr in Lowell, Cherokee County, Kansas

With the exception of his childhood Sam lived in Galena he entire life, He married Janet Myers on Oct 24 1955

Sam was a Mechanic by trade, he also worked at Aero Body in Joplin, MO as a Body Assembler, Sam loved to fish, he also loved taking things apart and putting them back together, CB radio's he repaired without problem, he made several wooden items including clocks, candle holders, a kitchen table, he was very good with his hands

Sam was preceded in death by his Wife Janet, Mother Josie, Step Father Charles, Brother in Law John, and a very special friend Beverley McKnight

he is survived by his sister June, Son Mel and his wife Julie, a Daughter Jo Ann, 3 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends
