A lifelong resident of Lexington, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Ralph Norman & Xavier Dudley Norman. Mrs. Jones was a member of Pentecost Chapel Church & Lexington Church of God, where she was in the choir, played the piano & was active with the Bus Ministry. She enjoyed working with the Oglethorpe County Prison Ministry & also the Oglethorpe County Food Bank. Most importantly, Mrs. Jones was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her Lord Jesus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Roger Royce Adams & her second husband: Herb Harbin.
Survivors include her husband: William Thomas Jones; four children: Royce Adams, Randy Lee Adams, Tammy Renee Thornton and Ray Anthony Adams; three siblings: Lee Norman, Virginia O’Kelley & Jack Norman; six grandchildren: Jennifer Westlake, Heather Adams, Alex Adams, Talan Adams, Joshua Thornton & Jessica Thornton & two great-grandchildren: Temperance Westlake & Emma-Rae Westlake. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Pentecost Chapel Church with Rev. Nathan Palmer, Rev. Matt Rouse, & Rev. Frank Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4 until 6 PM at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.
