Charles D. Thomason, 61, of Golfview Drive, died at Mercy Hospital Thursday after a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, the Rev. William E. Biederman officiating. Graveside rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Fjeldberg Lutheran Cemetery in Huxley. Friends may call this afternoon at the George L. Gay Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomason was born Dec. 9, 1911 in Minneapolis, the son of Lloyd and Hazel Littell Thomason. He graduated from Chillicothe, Mo., Business School and was a manufacturing representative for five industrial plants.
He married Marie Hilland at Huxley, and lived in the Cedar Rapids and Lake Macbride areas, moving to Iowa City two years ago. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Cedar Rapids Rotary Club, the Cedar Rapids Barbershop Chorus and the Cedar Rapids American Legion.
Surviving are his wife; his father, of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Ralph of San Diego, Calif. and Robert of Seattle, Wash.; and a sister, Mrs. Ida Colby of Portland, Ore.
