age 92, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away at his home in Plainfield on March 14th, 2016.

He was born October 19th, 1923 in Linton, Indiana to Hobart M. and Rose A. (West)Sargent.

He married Ruth E. (Jansen) Sargent February 1st, 1975 and she survives.

WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church in Plainfield.

Survived by two sons, and a daughter, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Anna F. Sargent, and brothers Jim "Jay" Sargent, and Gerald "Jerry" Sargent. - As were both his parents.

Fedrick is laid to rest at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Was a corporal in the Army Air Force during WWII stationed at Ipswich, England.

He at one time could have been an executive for the Woolworth Company but opted instead to create his own version of a Woolworth store with the Sargent 5 & 10 store in Cloverdale Indiana
