GREENSBORO - Janie Pitt died in grace at home, Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in the Laws Park Classroom.
Formerly of Rocky Mount, she was born Martha Jane Robbins in Nash County, Dec. 24, 1913. Since 1957 she resided in Greensboro where she was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Jane Pitt of the home; one granddaughter and spouse, Eden Martin and Derrick Wilkes; one grandson and spouse, Aaron Martin and Tracy Smith Martin; six great-grandchildren, Zachary and Quinn Wilkes, Sydney, Cade, Aiden and Harrison Smith Martin; one sister, Jerry Robbins Allman of Daytona Beach and many relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2600 Pisgah Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27455.
