Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and great friend Ivo Carlo Archuleta passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his beloved wife of 52 years Maxine on March 10, 2016 of Liver Cancer. Born in Monticello Utah July 12, 1934 to Max and Tonita Archuleta.
Ivo began his contracting firm at age 17 and maintained a successful concrete contracting career until 2013. Ivo was one of the first contractors to pioneer the industry of building basements under existing homes, and the first to accomplish this task, by excavating under homes with an excavating machine.
Ivo enjoyed camping in Wyoming, fishing, and was a body builder for many years. Loved to travel especially to Palm Desert to see his son, and most of all loved spending time with his family and spoiling them. He was a one of a kind person, willing to help anyone in need. He always dressed with class and style and lived life the same way. He will greatly be missed by everyone who knew him and the impressions made upon people's lives will not be forgotten.
Survived by his wife Maxine, his children Ivo Jr. (Brian), Chris Anderson (Lee), Lane Henderson (Cindy), Step Daughter Paula Knoughton, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother Mike, sisters, Rita Stone (Bennet) and Lydia Martinez (Eddy), many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He loved and will miss his dogs Rough and Tough, and Picaso.
Preceded in death by his parents, his son Carlo and step daughter Jessica, and his brother Sam.
Special thanks to hospice and care givers Rachel and Joey.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday March 14, 2016 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 east 500 south. Funeral Directors: Neil O'Donnell & Sons.
Til we meet again my darling you will always live in our hearts, Maxine and family.
