Elsie was the daughter of William Albert McComb and Lenora Bishop. They moved to Wichita, KS when the farm burned, then with her mother and all but the oldest siblings (Earl) they homesteaded on Cove Mt. in Arkansas till their mother became so ill from Tuburculosis that they moved back to Wichita and then back to Cove Mt. After the father was committed to a Mental Health facilitiy the family broke up with some going back to Kansas. Elsie never did leave the area, lived with the Carson Flewellen family and eventially married Carson. After his death she reamined on the farm for a number of years and eventually moved a trailer on to property on Long Hollow Road where she remained the rest of her life.
