Mrs. Wright was born January 26, 1925 to the late Benjamin and Mattie Ray Huff Luntsford.
After graduating high school in 1940, Bernice moved to Washington, DC and began working for the Department of Defense during WWII. After the war she returned to Hot Springs and worked for herself and the United States Postal Service, she was a retiree from the E.S.E.A Chapter 1 of the Madison County School System. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Dorland Memorial Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs.
In addition to her parents Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Wright; brother, Huffman Benjamin Luntsford; sister in law, Rebecca Harrison Luntsford.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and Wesley Staude; granddaughter, Cynthia Chambers and her husband Chad; grandson, Stephen Staude and his wife Amber; great grandchildren, Brent, Caitlin and Madison Chambers; baby great grandchildren, Emma and Eli Staude, Patton Young; nephew, Benny Luntsford and his wife Rebecca; great nephew, Ryan Luntsford; great niece, Brandi Cowden, numerous cousins and wonderful friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Dorland Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
