Veteran of World War II. First Lieutenant - United States Air Force. Served with the 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy). As part of First Lieutenant Thomas R McClure's Crew on April 24, 1944, their aircraft was hit by fighters after passing Strasbourg. The B-17 crossed the Swiss border near Basel and landed on a runway at Geneva. Held as internees, James Stravast (bombadier) and Sgt Francis L Frazee (radio) were repatriated and returned to England on October 9, 1944.
