Lawrence Allen Painter, Sr., 61, of Hallstead, PA was called home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2016 following an accident while repairing a car. He is survived by his long time companion and best friend, Rose Palmer. Larry is also survived by seven children, James, Leland, Larry Jr., Kasandra, William, Matthew, and Robert; five grandchildren; two brothers, Mark and Wayne; two sisters, Sharon and Judy; and many nieces, nephews, close friends, and Rose's family. Larry was a jack of all trades. He was a family man and known for several different sayings, "when I know I'm right, I say I'm right, unless you prove me wrong." "If the shoe fits, wear it." "Look in the mirror and ask yourself, Why?" He was determined to take care of Rose's needs, his children's needs, and his grandchildren's needs. A funeral service will take place at 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc, Hallstead, PA. Interment will be made in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at 11:00 am on Saturday. Friends may call from 6-8 pm, Friday, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc P.O. Box 936, Hallstead, PA 18822 to help with the funeral expenses.
