Denis Wayne Delage, 64, of Candler, died on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Haywood Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Framingham MA on April 11, 1951. Mr. Delage was a son of Barbara Stiles Delage of Orange Va. and the late Richard Armand Delage. Mr. Delage served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina in 1988 where he enjoyed the rural country lifestyle, camping and fishing. He later worked for many years at UPM Raflatac. He is survived by his sister, Jeannie Uhlman and husband William, of Uxbridge, MA, their five children and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard D. Delage and wife Louise, of Manassas VA, niece, Nicole Marr and husband Patrick and their four children, of Fairport NY, and nephew, Kenneth P. Delage and wife Tiffany and their seven children, of Spotsylvania VA. He will be fondly remembered by his special friends Elsa and Yani and his friends and neighbors for his thoughtful generosity. A private family service and burial will take place at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA, in March with his nephew Kenneth Delage officiating. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., Asheville, NC, is assisting his family
