He never met a microphone that didn't have his name on it, even if it wasn't plugged in.
He was always full of love, even if you hated him for it.
He never had a story that wasn't worth telling, no matter how pointless.
He always had a song ready, even if there was no music.
He will never be forgotten. He will always be missed.

Oscar Delizo Abenes, 72, born on March 23, 1942, in La Union, Philippines, passed away February 2, 2015. He resided in Bellflower, California, at the time of his passing. He left our world surrounded by his loved ones and laughter. He passed comfortably and with his family at peace. He is survived by his beautiful wife Cristina Manantan Abenes, his son Oscar Abenes Jr., his daughter Carina Abenes and his daugther in law, Jessica Secuya Abenes.
He has four amazing grandchildren, Jena (17), Oliver (8), Owen (5) and Joie (4 months) who he loved above everything.
An all day viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Cypress on Sunday February 8th from 10AM-9PM. A memorial mass will take place the following day on Monday February 9th at St. Dominic Savio Church in Bellflower.
He will be cremated so there is no internment but there will be a reception to celebrate his life. His family would like to thank their family and friends for all of their support and love. This difficult time would have been unbearable without all of them there, you know who you are.
