She was born June 25, 1938, in Monterey to the late Walter and Hattie Mae Cunningham Short. Mrs. Beaty was a homemaker. Her family includes her husband of 53 years, Johnny Beaty of Shady Grove Community; a daughter and son-in-law, Elega and Johnny ;
six sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Janet, Michael and Cindy, Jerry and Nancy, Rodney and June, Jason and Rick and Krystal; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Rena Belle Hargis; and a brother, James Short. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Beaty; three sisters, Vada Matheney, Cora Fee and Jane Bowman; three brothers, Hollis, Kenneth and Buddy Short.
