She was born May 17, 1925 in Klondyke, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clarvle and Nine Hines Wallace.
Annabelle married Billy Joe Robertson on July 27, 1962 in Newport, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2010.
Survivors include three sons, James(Jane Burke)Fortner of Madison, Wisconsin; Dan(Peggy)Fortner and Glenn Robertson both of Newport, Indiana; step daughter, Lucinda Sowers of Newport, Indiana; two step sons, Steven(Brenda)Robertson of Cayuga, Indiana and Donn(Donna)Robertson of Newport, Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her son, Mark Fortner; step son, Paul Robertson; sister, Edna and three brothers, Orval, Raymond and Woody Wallace.
Annabelle was a member of the Newport Church of God and Newport American Legion Auxiliary Post #184. She attended Klondyke School from 1931-1935, then Fairview Park from 1936-1937. Annabelle than moved to Newport and graduated from Newport High School in 1942. She worked for 27 years at the Vermillion County Courthouse. The last 10 years she was privileged to serve as county Auditor.
