E.W. Walters, 80, of Rt 2, Lumberton, died suddenly Tuesday morning.

He was a life long member of Long Branch Community and the Long Branch Baptist Church. He was also a retired farmer.

The body will be at Biggs Funeral Home until one hour prior to funeral services at 3pm Thursday at Long Branch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Walters Family Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, L.E. Walters, Marvin Walters and Willis Walters, all of Lumberton; six daughters, Mrs. Doris W. Long of Wilmington, Mrs. Vera Snipes, Mrs Ada Britt, Mrs. Florence Britt, Mrs. Sue Laughlin Mrs. Ida Mayes, all of Lumberton; one brother, Rad Walters; two sisters, Mrs, Fannie Lamb and Mrs. Addie Bozeman; 30 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Biggs Funeral Home tonight from 7 - 9 pm.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Lumberton Rescue Unit.
