Alice June Adkins, 70, of Bedford, VA and formerly of McGaheysville, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the home of her daughter.
Alice was born March 5, 1945, in Harrisonburg, VA and was the daughter of the late Melvin Leon and Almeda Pearl Miller Adkins.
Alice attended Grottoes Church of Christ and was employed in healthcare for many years. She graduated from Montevideo High School.
Alice is survived by daughter, Marla P. Hardy of McGaheysville; sons, Phillip L. Yudowitch of Lynchburg, Dustin A. Yudowitch of Richmond; sister, Peggy Nadeau and husband, Frank, of McGaheysville; brother, Ronald Adkins and wife, Donna of Dayton; three grandchildren, Shawn Myers, Brandy Hendricks, Jennifer Cunningham; four great grandchildren, Mike and Marc Cunningham, Jasmine and Cody Hendricks.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 1 pm Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Grottoes Church of Christ, 4626 Eastside Highway, Grottoes VA. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
