B.P. Britt, Jr. age 71, a resident of West 22nd Street, Lumberton, NC died at his home Saturday morning.

He was born in Robeson County October 19, 1925; a son of the late Briant Pinkey & Fannie Lee Britt.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Men's Friendship Class, Charter member of Allenton Fire Department and a retired farmer & building contractor.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 11am at the First Baptist Church with Dr. William Powell Tuck and Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Internment will follow in the Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rosa Smith Britt of the home; four sons, Richard (Dickie) Britt of Graham, NC, Charles Britt & Alan Britt of Lumberton and David Britt of Raleigh, NC; and daughter Sue O'Tuel of Lumberton; one brother, Harold (Fairbrown) Britt of Lumberton; two sisters, Margie Salmon of Jacksonville, FL & Myrle Ruth Britt of Lumberton. Seven Grandchildren; Brian, Carey, Charles, Daniel & Allison Britt and Todd & Brit O'Tuel; one great grandchild, Emma Britt.

The family will receive friends at the Biggs Funeral Home on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Robeson, 2300 N. Pine Street, Lumberton NC 28358 or to the donor's choice.

Pallbearers were: Tom Barker, Hobert Britt, Tom Britt, Tommy Byrd, Charlie Floyd, W.T. Mercer, Harold McPhatter and Eddie Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Members of the Men's Friendship Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church. Members of Lumberton Rescue Unit and Members of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
