WOLF, Hortense B., 94, widow of Benjamin A. Wolf of Richmond, died Friday, December 25, 2009.

She is survived by her two sons, Franklin S. Wolf and his wife, Gini Blostein-Wolf, and Marshal Wolf;

her grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Paulina, Rebecca and Matthew Wolf, Kosal Soth and his wife, Jennifer, Phavy Lee and her husband, Panh, Sokly Chan and husband, Raksmy;

her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine Wolf, Ayden Soth, Lyndsey, Kelley, Anna, Taylor and Parker Lee, Suntary and Kiry Chan.

Hortense was the retired president of Eveready Oil Company.

She was a 1976 recipient of the Distinguished Jewish Community Service Award. In 1984, she was named Small Business Woman of the Year.

She was a member of Temple Beth El, Jewish Family Services and the Jewish Community Center.

She was the first woman president of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond. She was honored with the Life Time Achievement Award from the Jewish Community Federation and was recipient of the Chesed Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Richmond Jewish Community.

She also served as a board member on the Richmond Area Community Council, the United Way, Daily Planet, and the Richmond Family and Children Services.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Beth El Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made to the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond, Weinstein Jewish Community Center or Temple Beth El.
