Countess of Alburquerque in her own right and Queen of Aragón, Sicily and Sardinia by marriage. She remained the only child from the marriage of Sancho Alfonso and Beatriz de Portugal. She married Ferdinand of Aragon in 1394 and bore him seven children. She was widowed at age 42 and retired to Medina del Campo. In Medina she transformed the palace into the Convent of Santa María la Real. Her grave is marked by a simple stone which has royal crest carved into it, while her cenotaph in the monastery of Poblet is more elaborate.
