STATESVILLE - MR. CLYDE Alexander, Sr., 93, of 732 Club Drive, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Clapps Nursing Center, Pleasant Hill, NC. He was the son of the late Baxter Boyd Alexander and Anna Watts Alexander. He was married to the love of his life, Louvenia Diane Powell Alexander, who preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, two sons, Clyde (Patricia) Alexander, Jr., of Greensboro and Ronnie "Percy" Alexander, of Winston-Salem, NC; a sister, Virginia Moore of Butner, NC; and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.Celebration of life services will be conducted Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at the United House of Prayer for all People. The family will receive friends, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the church. Burial will follow at the Iredell Memorial Park. The family will assemble at the residence at all other times. Notes of sympathy may be emailed to the Alexander family at [email protected]. Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, Statesville is serving the Alexander family.
