SUMNER - Graveside services for Mary Dean Herron McMullen Abbey, 78, of Webb, who died of cancer Monday, March 3, 2003, at her home, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbey was a homemaker. She was born in Kingston, Okla. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Buford McMullen, and was the widow of Benton Abbey Jr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Aubrey Buford McMullen Jr.
She is survived by a son, William Andrew McMullen II of Sumner; a stepson, Jack C. Webb of Webb; one brother, Holmes K. Herron of Atlanta; one sister, Joy Herron of Glendora; and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Sylvia Czarnetsky will officiate at the services.
The family will receive visitors at the family residence in Webb.
Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood is in charge of arrangements.
