Debra Ann Knoppe Nally, 58, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday January 21, 2016 after a long illness, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born October 24, 1957 in Bardstown, a retired reading recovery teacher for North Washington Elementary in Washington County, member of Tuesday Evening Ladies League at My Old Kentucky Home and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Debra had a passion for life, enjoyed golf, reading, loved her grandchildren, and always will be remembered for her strength and positive attitude, during a difficult time.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Danny Nally of Bardstown; two sons, Nathan (Jessica) Nally of Oklahoma City, and Stephen (Heather) Nally of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Aaden, Holden, and Ferris; parents, Bernard and Susan Knoppe of Bardstown; two brothers, Jim Knoppe, and Chucky (Susan) Knoppe; sister, Renee (John) Farnsworth all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday January 25, 2016 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate. Visitation will be Noon to 6 pm on Sunday January 24 and 9 to 10:15 am Monday January 25 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 4 pm Sunday.
