Actor. He will best be remembered for his role as James 'Grizzly' Adams on film and television. Born Gene Jajonski, the former animal trainer and stunt coordinator first appeared in the 1964 film 'Muscle Beach Party'. The gruff-looking actor would go on to have roles in several biker and wildlife films before being chosen to star in the 1974 film, 'The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams', a role which he would reprise for the TV series of the same name that ran from 1977 to 1978, and in subsequent films. He would appear in dozens of made-for-TV movies and series and would have roles in such films as 'King of the Mountain' (1981), 'Legend of the Wild' (1981), 'Abducted' (1986), 'Night Wars' (1988), 'Repo Jake' (1990), 'Love and Dynamite' (1992), 'Grizzly Mountain' (1997) and 'Dead in 5 Heartbeats' (2013). He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to television, located at 7070 Hollywood Blvd.
