She was first married to William Riley Anderson who was also from Charlton Co., GA. He died in Gainesville, Florida at a young age and is buried there. They had one infant daughter when he died. (Her name was Maude Anderson, she married George Irvin Rowell.) After Sarah Saxon Anderson married Robert Green "R.G." Lanier they moved from Gainesville, Florida to Ybor City, Florida she had three boys who survived infancy, R.G. Jr., Sidney Saxon, and Mark Lanier. She was a wonderful seamtress, and very prim and proper.
