Elbert Lee Dickinson, age 68, of Hudson, Texas died Sunday, January 03, 2016.

Elbert Lee Dickinson was born on May 27, 1947 in Houston County to Smitty Evans and Hattie Dell Edwards. He was the third of five children.He was raised in Houston County and attended school at Ralph Bunch School in Crockett, Texas and Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas.

He accepted Christ as a child and united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and later Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church.He married Maxine Dickinson and to this union three children were born, later he married Claudette Dickinson. Elbert then married Sonya Kaye Newman on August 13, 2010.Elbert retired from Vulcraft. He served in the U.S. Army and Honorably Discharged. He also worked at Crockett State School.

On January 3, 2016, at home, in Hudson, Texas. Elbert left this earth on the Wings of Angels. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie Edwards; father, Smitty Evans; brother, Melvin Roy Evans.

Interment following service in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Crockett, TX.
