Donna Marie Phillips Castro, of Pleasureville , died on Friday , the 1st day of January , 2016, at her residence . Born in Taylorsville , Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Charles Westly Phillips , Sr., and Loretta Kathryn Hedges Phillips and widow of Baldomero G Castro.
She was a member of the Crossroads Lighthouse Church in Eminence and former employee of Crestview and the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.
She had a heart for giving and would make an effort to make charitable contributions to many organizations, including The Wounded Warrior Project and Kosair Childrens Hospital . In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Faye Phillips.

Her survivors include one son,one daughter, two brothers, one sister, two half brothers, two half sisters and two grandchildren .

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.m., Wednesday , the 6th day of January , 2016, at the Hall -Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville , with
Reverend Nathan Shaw officiating . Interment will be in Shady Lawn Cemetery in Shelbyville , Kentucky .
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday , at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home In Shelbyville , and expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to an education fund for her grandchildren .
