Mr. Abrams was born in Floyd County, GA on April 16, 1918, the son of the late Walter George and Emma Nelson Abrams. He retired from Southeastern Mills as a security guard and worked at Pepperell Manufacturing. Mr. Abrams was a blacksmith and a farmer in the Lavender Community in his younger years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents Mr. Abrams is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Norwood Abrams; two sisters, Eunice McCullough and Janette Edgens and a brother, Bill Abrams.
Mr. Abrams is survived by a son, Bobby Abrams of San Diego, CA and a step son, Ev Ford, Jr. of Rome, GA; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Lydell Whittle and family; and best friends, Sarah and David Hilsman of Rome, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
