The body of K.D. Russell who was killed Saturday night in the east yards by an Illinois Central engine in charge of John Bryte, engineer, will be taken to Kentucky for burial. Mr. Russell had been employed by the city for several months but was released last Friday evening. His body was dragged several feet by the engine, the engineer being blinded by the cloud of steam caused by the cold weather. Mrs. Ras Mayall, who lives near by, saw the dragging body and gave the alarm.
K.D. Russell was 56 years of age. He was born in Kentucky and lived there until a few years ago when he came to Clinton. He leaves his wife and the following children: William, Lonnie, Nero, Ellis, Dudley, Sidney and Mrs. Nancy Payne and Mrs. Susie Smith of Byron county, Ky., and Delci and Pluma, at home.

An inquest was held this morning in the office of Deputy Coroner A. E. Stone.
