Lucille M. Wells, 97, a former resident of North Monmouth, passed away, Tuesday evening, December 22nd at her daughter’s home in Mount Vernon. She was born November 3, 1918, the daughter of Clifford and Glennie (Smith) Tucker. She attended school at Kents Hill Academy in Readfield, Maine.

On March 23, 1935, she married Osborne H. Wells in Mount Vernon, Maine.

Lucille enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and Hummingbirds. She was a member of the North Monmouth Community Church.

She is survived by her three daughters; Maxine Stevens of Leeds, Eleanor Brennan of Mount Vernon, Norma Wells of Augusta, three sons; Lawrence Wells and his wife Faye of Virginia, Arthur Wells and his companion Kathy Bouchard of Winthrop, Kenneth Wells and his companion Christine Fischer of Monmouth, 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, sister in law, Flora Varney of Chesterville and daughter in law, Joan Wells of Greene.

She was predeceased by her husband Osborne in 1999, her son Linwood Wells, granddaughter Donna Wells, brother, John Tucker, sisters; Angenette Murphy and Irene Thompson.
