Obituary for Kayli Diane Hostetler
ORRVILLE---Kayli Diane Hostetler, age 21, of Orrville, finished her earthly race and ran into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 13, 2015, following a 13 year battle with cancer. She was an inspiration and blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by the loving family she lived with, her parents, Michael and Judy; her awesome brothers, Caleb and Luke; paternal grandparents, Monroe and Sandi Hostetler; maternal grandmother, Gisela Shelden; maternal great-grandparents, Jim and Lois Lowe; and her faithful dog, Baxter, who was a gift from her husband (now ex-husband of her choice) Ian Messner.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Hostetler.

She loved everything about being a girl including keeping her nails impeccable, always having her makeup on, and making the effort to look beautiful every day. She loved Jesus deeply and had a passion to make sure that she could take as many people to Heaven with her by introducing them to her Savior. Even on her hardest days, she would smile and ask others about their lives and not focus on her own.

She was a giver, both of her time and her love, and enjoyed lavishing gifts on her loved ones. She was a member of the Orrville Grace Brethren where she was active until her health prevented her from being able to attend.

Kayli was involved with Project Ed Bear at Akron Children's Hospital, Camp Quality of Ohio, a hero ambassador for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Flight 4 the Cure, and reached out to many other patients at Akron Children's Hospital by selling bracelets to buy TV's and DVD players for the oncology clinic there.

She attended Malone University in Canton, Ohio (where she also met her husband, Ian Messner) until her health prevented her and Ian from returning. She was a fighter in the truest sense of the word, and lived out Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." by trusting God completely with the outcome of her life.

A Celebration of Kayli's life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Orrville Grace Brethren Church, 2200 Paradise Road, Orrville, Ohio, with Pastor Isaac Graham officiating. A private family graveside service was held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville on Tuesday.

Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak St, Orrville OH (330) 682-2966 is assisting the family with arrangements. Online registry and expressions of condolence may be made at the funeral home web site at www.aublefuneralhome.com.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the research lab of Dr. Steven Kuerbitz at Akron Children's Hospital, 1 Perkins Square, Akron. OH 44308, or to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
