~Bill was the son of William Clyne Campbell (originally Brodie) of Scotland, and Corinne Emily Canales of Hoboken. Bill was raised in Essex and Morris Counties in New Jersey. He joined the United States Air Force after high school. Bill was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base when he met his future wife in Biloxi. They were happily married for 68 years.

After relocating outside of Washington, he raised two sons in Silver Spring, Maryland. Bill worked in the insulation business for many years and retired in his forties. He and his wife moved back to Mississippi and later to North Augusta. He enjoyed golfing and in his spare time he worked as a grounds keeper at a golf course. He recently bought a new home and returned to Biloxi. Bill was 88 years old.

In addition to being the father of two sons, Bill had two grandsons, one granddaughter, five great-granddaughters, and four great-grandsons. His funeral service was held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe on Friday, December 11 at 1:00.~
