Married to Clyde Shortridge 10/04/1936∼Daughter of the late J.T. Stiltner and Pearlie Jackson Stiltner. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Shortridge; her second husband, John Prater; two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by daughter, Irene Stacy and husband Ralph of Conway, SC; two sisters; Alta Farmer of Abington, Va and Evelyn Broberg of Fairfax, Va.; three grandchildren: Kim Davis of Mebane, NC, Jennifer Stacy of Raleigh, NC and Dwayne Stacy of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one great-grandson: Lee Davis.
Funeral services held March 22, 2004 at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Va with Evangelist Michael Trent officiating.
