Died age 95 of Indianapolis, at The Waters of Greencastle on Thursday. Born to the late Walter and Bertha (Davidson) Evans, she moved to Indianapolis in 1989 following her husband Duane Purvis’ death. They were married 17 April 1937 at Decatur, Illinois. Mrs. Purvis was a graduate of Jefferson High School and graduated from Purdue University in 1933 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a homemaker. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Home Hospital for many years. Survived by a son, Michael Duane (wife, Karen) Purvis of Coatesville, Indiana, and a sister, Betty Fowler of Tampa, Florida. She was also survived by two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Ryan.
