Virginia Edna Abbott, 81, of Ohio 163, Oak Harbor, OH., died Sunday morning, Dec. 25, 1998, in Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor after a long illness. She was born May 2, 1917 in Sandusky, OH., living in the Mansfield area since 1938. she was former owner-operator of Ashland Road Drive Thur. She made costumes for the Mansfield Playhouse.
She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary #16.
Survived by one daughter and son-in-law of Elmore, OH.; one son of Texas; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Abbott; a daughter, Gayle Virginia Abbott; her parents, Jace & Edna Louis Weis Phillips.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Wappner Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
