Emma was born to Robert Evans and Mary Jane Dial. After her father died, her mother Mary Jane remarried to Henry L. Willey, (a widower with 2 small boys,) in Dec. 1877 and the following year the family moved from Ohio to Kansas. It is possible that they also moved as a group with Mary Janes, sister Elizabeth C. (Dial) Crane Geddis who moved to Rooks Co., KS. about the same time.


Emma married Webster Sylvester Waldron on Jan. 1, 1883, in
Washington, Washington Co., Kansas. To this union these known children were born, Grover Wayne, Joseph Robert, Harry Neff and Nellie N. Waldron All the children were born in Washington , Washington Co., Kansas except Nellie, who was born in El Reno, Canadian Co., OK.
