Ellen L. Fenstermacher, 73, of Treasure Lake, Pa., passed away Nov. 24, 2015.
Ellen attended Reynoldsville High School and graduated from Emporium High School in 1960. In 1962, she earned a degree from DuBois Business College worked for Way Office Supply in DuBois for much of her career.
She was a gifted seamstress and crafter. She served her community through her work with Junior Women's Club, as a Girl Scout leader, and as treasurer of the DuBois Little League Auxiliary.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 55 years, James; her children and their spouses: Lori Hixon, Jim and Jill Fenstermacher, and Leigh and Alan Longenecker; and her grandchildren: Zachary Hixon and wife Ellen; Auckie, Rayna, Tucker, and Joda Fenstermacher; and Noah and Emily Longenecker. She is survived by her father, Charles F. "Budd" Engle; and her sister, Lydia Jane Buell, and husband Gary.
She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Betty Jane Engle.
On Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., a celebration of Ellen's life will be conducted by the Rev. Leo Cramer at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, 206 East Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Resident Enhancement Fund at the DuBois Nursing Home, 212 South Eighth Street, DuBois, Pa. 15801, where Ellen received compassionate care in the last weeks of her life.
