Jackie Lee Matney, 57,of Indian Creek , WV, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in Raleigh General Hospital at Beckley, WV.
Jackie was born May 11, 1958 in Welch, WV, a son of Reba Mae "Okie" Meadows-Matney (B. 1942) and the late Kennis Matney (1939-1992). He was a coal miner.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth "Ruthie" Ann Matney-Roberts (Deceased).
Survivors include one daughter, Heather Matney-Morgan and husband Joshua Morgan of Pigeon Forge, TN; three grandchildren, Austin Morgan, Michael Morgan, and Braiden Morgan all of Pigeon Forge, TN; his mother, Reba Mae "Okie" Mae Meadows-Matney (B. 1942) of Welch, WV; two brothers, James Edward Matney Sr. (1964-2016) and David Lee Matney (1972-2016) both of Welch, WV; and one sister, Debra "Debbie" Faye Matney-Davis (1963-Deceased) of Roderfield, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 11:00 with Reverend Irvin Lee officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Bluewell, WV.
