Kenneth Austin Morrow, Jr. "Spanky", 62, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at CMC Northeast, Concord.
Born June 5, 1952, in Mooresville, he was a son of the late Kenneth Austin Morrow, Sr. and Ruby Crouch Morrow. Mr. Morrow was a 1970 graduate of Mooresville High School. He formerly worked at Elox in Davidson for over 20 years and presently at Advance Auto Parts in Mooresville as a parts delivery man for the past six years. Mr. Morrow was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Mooresville, where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Ashley Ervin.
Mr. Morrow is survived by his wife, Judy Cowan Morrow, whom he married March 17, 1984; daughter, Heather D. Morrow, of Mooresville; brother, Marshall E. Morrow, of Greensboro, Margaret M. Baker (Jeff), of Mooresville, and Becky M. Ervin (Shawn), of Concord; grandson, Andrew "Drew" Michael Goins and his faithful companion, his dog, "Buckwheat".
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Centre Presbyterian Church, Mooresville, with Reverend Dr. Robert M. Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centre Presbyterian Church, 129 Centre Church Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117 or the Humane Society of Iredell County, P.O. Box 1617, Statesville, NC 28687.
