James Douglas Anderson, 87, of Ash, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Anderson was born on May 7, 1928 in Columbus Co., a son of the late Clyde & Buella Green Anderson. He retired as a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bobbie Anderson.
Surviving are his two daughters, Bobbie Lynn Coon, and husband, Jack, of Rocky Point, and Lisa Piver, and husband, Ray, of Ash; six grandchildren, Rhett Stanley, Christopher & Alyssa Coon, Justin, Kacey, & Brooke Piver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm on Friday, October 23rd in Soldier Bay Baptist Church by the Rev. Charlie Smith & Rev. Doug Fairfax.
Interment will be in the Smith Family Cemetery.
