Walter was the eighth of thirteen children born to John Dallas and Orfa Mahala (Sipes) Moose. He married Hattie Mae Money in 1927 and they had eight children: Paul David, Sarah Marie, Clara Marie, Webb Henry, Shirley, Eunice Bell, Harvey Lee and Henry.

(Note: 1900 census has birth as Mar 1886, death Certificate has birth as Dec 22, 1888, but headstone has Dec. 20, 1888.
Not sure which date is correct so using the date on the headstone).
