Irma, born in Hawkeye, Iowa on March 7, 1916 passed away in Carmichael on October 2, 2015.

She moved to Eskaton Village in Carmichael in 1998. where she lived with her loving husband George (who died in 2007).

Irma graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Willamette University in 1938 and moved to California after the war to raise her family.

Irma and George lived in El Cerrito California for 44 years, both teaching in the Richmond Unified School District.

She is survived by her two sons, Peter (Susie) and Rick (Hope) and her much loved granddaughter Heather (Eric) and great granddaughter Isabel.

She participated in many activities at Eskaton, including the Kohler Kids Elementary School program. She was wickedly smart to the end, lived life her way, was very inquisitive, and had a great sense of humor.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
