David I. Ackley

GROVELAND/QCALA, FLA. - David I. Ackley went to be with the Lord on Nov. 9, 2009. He was a retired welder at Foster Wheeler.
Dave was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Free Methodist Church in Dansville, but most of all, Dave enjoyed being with his family.
He was predeceased by his mother Lottie Paulman and his brother John Ackley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara A. Ackley, two sons, David (Gloria) Ackley of Greenville, S.C. and Stephen (Tresslynn) Ackley of Groveland; two sisters, Harriet (Joe) Young of Bergen, and Frances Candie of Reno, Nev.; six grand-children, Jennifer, Emerson, Christina, Katherine, Rebecca and Sydnee; one great-grandson, Zeke.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the building fund for the Free Methodist Church of Dansville.
A memorial service will be held at Dansville Free Methodist Church on Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. (GCE, November 26, 2009, p4)
